Dry Creek Landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 4:30 pm. Hours are subject to change, based on demand — so please give us a call at 541.826.4949 for exact operating hours.

Yes! Landfill tours provide a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the Dry Creek Landfill.

What materials do you accept for disposal?
Garbage, rubbish, refuse, and ashes, as well as non-recyclable paper and cardboard, sewage sludge, manure and animal mortalities. We also accept useless or discarded commercial and industrial demolition and construction materials.

Can the general public bring waste to the landfill?
No. The Transfer Station, located at 8001 Table Rock Road in White City, is open to the general public to provide safe disposal. Dry Creek Landfill is a commercial facility.
What types of commercial and industrial waste does Dry Creek Landfill accept?
What types of commercial and industrial waste does Dry Creek Landfill accept?
Adhesives, agricultural waste, asbestos, asphalt, baghouse dust, alkaline batteries, empty containers, filters, food waste that pass the paint filter test, glass, grease trap waste, light bulbs, autoclaved medical waste, metal grindings, auto shredder fluff, resins, plastics, sand blasting residue, sewer grit and bar screen waste, sludges, street sweeping and catch basin waste, treated wood, tanks (typically must be cut), and petroleum-contaminated soils and debris, with an approved special waste profile.

Yes. There is a minimum fee of $425. Our current tipping fee, as of July 1, 2024, is $78.50 per ton.

Yes, Restaurant grease trap material must pass the paint filter test, Industrial grease trap waste must have an approved profile and pass analytical testing requirements for pH, flash point, paint filter and toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) metals. Additional testing may be required based on the material to be disposed.

Do I need to have my load covered?
Yes. Jackson County Codified Ordinance Section 1864.16 says that when transporting solid waste or recyclable materials, the trash must be covered or tied in such a way as to prevent the material from blowing, leaking, spilling or shifting off onto public rights of way or public or private lands.

Dry Creek Landfill is prohibited from accepting discarded or abandoned vehicles. But we can accept useless or discarded vehicle parts.

How does the landfill convert gas from trash to renewable energy?
How does the landfill convert gas from trash to renewable energy?
Dry Creek Landfill has an active methane gas collection and control system in place that collects the gas from decomposing trash. That gas, in turn, goes to a facility that produces electricity for 3,000 area homes. Dry Creek Landfill will continue to produce renewable energy for the next century.
What are the specifics related to asbestos disposal?
What are the specifics related to asbestos disposal?
Materials containing asbestos are only accepted at the Dry Creek Landfill, and you must notify the landfill 24 hours in advance if you will be hauling materials containing asbestos.
